How to choose a coach

Coaching is a powerful profession, and like any profession, the quality of your experience depends on your coach’s training, personality and commitment.
While anyone can call themselves a coach (coaching is not regulated), not everyone has completed rigorous, accredited training or earned credentials through the International Coaching Federation (ICF), the gold standard in coaching worldwide.
When a school is accredited, you can trust that the coach has had to prove themselves. Their training meets rigorous standards and the people who earned their credentials have had to meet rigorous standards.
Why My Training Matters

I have invested in my professional development by completing accredited training, earning my PCC (Professional Certified Coach) credential, and passing the required evaluations. This means:
I’ve done the work, completing in-depth training, mentoring, and assessments to ensure I coach at a professional level.
I’m held to high ethical standards, guided by the ICF Code of Ethics, so you can trust that our work together is confidential, respectful, and client-driven.
I’m always learning — continuing education, mentor coaching, and supervision help me keep growing so I can bring you the best of my skills and presence.

Choosing a credentialed coach means you’re working with someone who has been tested, evaluated, and committed to ongoing growth, not just someone who decided to call themselves a coach.

Because coaching is unregulated, I chose to invest in extensive training so you can feel confident that I bring both skill and integrity to our work together.
